There is a youtuber named Wendigoon who makes video essays about historic events, myths, murder/mystery cases, and a lot of horror. He inspired me to make my own video essay and base my project off of one of his videos. Clearly he does the video essay jazz much better than I do, lesson learned. But it is still a really interesting topic to learn about, and for how many white Americans that worship Japan, more people should know about their terrible history. The more people that learn about these covered up history events, the closer to avenged the thousands of corpses are.
Strapped to the operating table
The trembling body lays She reaches out for her baby Underwater he will stay I smile as I cut the flesh I rip right through her soul Her child screams as he’s pulled from The only home he’s known I hear the prisoners' screams at night For they will never leave The prisoners rise and hypnotize I’ll never be set free From the prison of my mind This is for the greater good No matter what I do to them It’s more than what I should I step away from the violence I look at what I’ve done What happened to my innocence Why was this so fun? I’ll never be the same again For that, I am so sure When you steal her baby's life Your own will belong to her |

My project's topic was about providing context, so I decided to show that through my topic Unit 731. For english I did a poem expressing what was going through the thoughts of the surgeons operating on the prisoners. I provided context by annotating some of the lines and explaining what they represent in the event. For history I made a script and video essay, using the script from a documentary called Philosophy of a Knife that I rewrote as reference. The video essay provides context because it's explaining the events that caused Unit 731 to happen, including the wars and the communist party. For art I made a claymation representing the torture that was inflicted on innocent people. The context that shows in this is what the goverment hid and kept secret in the forest, the torture of someones daughter or dad.
